altar with a statue of Buddha.

The exhibition of Peter Bocianowski's works took place in "the Hall of Dharma" the main space of Warsaw Zen Center of Kwan Um. This is a spacious hall with the magnificent Buddhist altar, designed to practice Zen School of Kwan Um. In that hall, on a simple, but beautiful wooden floor, there are places for meditation in the form of special mattresses and pillows.

The described Warsaw Zen Center is the Main Temple Do Am Sah Zen School of Kwan Um in Poland. It is located in Małowiejska street, 22-24 in Warsaw Falenica. This temple is now the largest center of the Zen School of Kwan Um in Europe. For many years, it was managed by Zen Master Bon Shin (Alexandra Porter).

Kwan Um is one of the Zen school of Buddhism, which was founded in USA by Korean Zen Master Seung Sahn (Dae Soen Sa Nim).

Since 1978 the school has been present in Poland and from our country spread in Europe.

After the death of Master Seung Sahn the head of Kwan Um School is his apprentice Zen Master Soeng Hyang, who in February 2010 is visiting Poland.

Peter Bocianowski was born in 1970 in Krakow, in Poland and he is the Zen Buddhist from the Zen School - Kwang Um. For last 6 years he was the host of the Warsaw Zen Center - The Main Temple Do Am Sah of the Zen School Kwan Um in Poland. of his works.

It presents "Dharma

Wheel" - the path of continuous incarnations. The hole - in this picture shows the end of this road in term of achieving nirvana. From the right: soke Richard Murat 10 dan.

Peter Bocianowski has been for a long time a regular inHonbu Dojo (Central Karate Tsunami School) in Warsaw Radość, meeting there with soke Richard Murat 10 dan. Peter Bocianowski always emphasizes that he is greatly impressed by the power of Karate Tsunami, as well as peace and the enormous positive energy, which he senses in Honbu Dojo.

Peter Bocianowski - as he claims - "is a perpetual sympathizer" of Karate Tsunami and actively goes in for this style, learning mainly from the loud book of soke Richard Murat 10 dan – the bestseller: "Karate for Beginners and Advanced".

For unacquainted persons we would like to explain, that both those places: Warsaw Zen Center - Kwan Um and Honbu Dojo Karate Tsunami are close to each other at a distance of several kilometers. Falenica and Radość are in fact neighboring housing estates in the Warsaw Wawer district, on the right bank of the capital, along so-called " Otwock route", it means the railway line from Warsaw to Lublin.

The exhibition of Peter Bocianowski’s works as he announced had been "mini" and as it turned out very impressive because the author exhibited as many as 65 paintings and one sculpture. Those works he made - as befits the Zen Buddhist - completely spontaneously.

In the photographs there is a view of the most important works of the author.

Bocianowski

Peter Bocianowski is the talented painter. You can easily see this watching placed here some photographs of his paintings, which were taken by Richard Murat at the described exhibition.

Bocianowski

Soke Richard Murat 10 dan congratulated to Peter Bocianowski the magnificent exhibition

and says that the author having such artistic talent should use it completely.

The meeting began with a wonderful tea, which Mr. Bocianowski offered tsunamists, as well as several other friends of Peter Bocianowski. Then he presented them his own works, interesting themes and explaining circumstances of their coming into being.

All through Sunday 24th January 2010 the exhibition of Peter Bocianowski saw a lot of people admiring his work and ordering them from him. The exhibition was in fact connected with the sale of exhibited works.

By the way arrived tsunamists bought two paintings of Peter Bocianowski’s collection:

  • soke Richard Murat bought the painting "Sky",
  • Mark Adam Grabowski bought the painting "Stones."

To both new owners of the paintings the author wrote on the back of them his personal dedications.

Here is the painting

"Heaven." bought by
soke Richard Murat 10 dan.

It presents the white-gray clouds moving in the blue sky. One can see on them reflected sunlight, but some of them already announce upcoming storm and rain.

This is one of the most cheerful paintings

of Peter Bocianowski.

He painted it for the Zen Master - Bon Shin

(Alexandra Porter).
In her room, this picture

hung for several years until

the described exhibition.

An interesting coincidence is that Marek Adam Grabowski (from the

right) is a student of soke Richard Murat 10 dan (from the left) in the Honbu Dojo (Central School of Karate Tsunami) in Warsaw and his mother Elizabeth Grabowska (in the middle) and his father Jerry Grabowski studied law

in the past with soke Richard Murat at Warsaw University. The photo taken at the vernissage of Peter Bocianowski 24th January 2010.

Further we present some selected paintings of Peter Bocianowski.

The described event is the next proof that Tsunami is the system in which feel well and can work together people with different religious views.

For example, among the mentioned persons here Peter Bocianowski is the avowed Buddhist, and shihan Vladimir Parfieniuk 7 dan is the proud follower of Orthodox Church, but it does disturb him to come to the opening of the artist to the Main Buddhist Temple - Do Am Sah of the Zen School - Kwan Um in Poland and admire both the collected works, as the splendid decor of the Temple.

The profile of Peter Bocianowski is also presented in the section: International TSUNAMISTS' GALLERY.
